Ray of Light Cancer Support is delighted to share its Amser I Mi (“Time for Me”) project, providing much-needed short breaks and practical support for unpaid carers caring for a loved one with a cancer diagnosis.

Grants of £20,000 pounds are available for organisations who are providing support for care leavers.

The next round of Postcode Community Trust grants open for applications on the 23rd of February 2026, and provides various grants of up to £50,000. Funds available are focused on charities and good causes in Wales

Grants of between £1,000 and £75,000 are available to charitable organisations who support farming and rural communities within Wales.

The roles include recruiting and onboarding volunteers, offering day‑to‑day support, and working with our teams to strengthen the volunteer services that make such a difference in our communities.

Barry Amateur Swimming Club has officially launched its centenary year after holding its 100th Annual General Meeting at Sully Sports and Social Club on Monday 19 January 2026.

These grants are designed to help develop and enhance projects undertaken by local groups within the Penarth community. The grants issued are usually small in scale (around £250), but make a huge difference successful groups and their projects.

The Welsh Government is asking for your views on a new National Strategy for Unpaid Carers.

On Saturday 14 March 2026, 10am – 2pm, the Vale of Glamorgan Council are offering a four-hour course on First Aid Awareness for unpaid carers who live in the Vale.

Following the manifesto launch in November, we’ve been focusing on developing our new How to Organise a Hustings Toolkit, created to help community groups plan and run inclusive and well‑organised hustings events. It includes practical guidance, templates, and tips covering planning, promotion, accessibility, and event delivery.
