Community Facilities Programme
This is a capital grant scheme operated by the Welsh Government, grants are available at two levels
Amount: Small grants of up to £25,000, with a minimum of £5,000. Larger grants of up to £300,000, minimum of £25,001

Building Grants for Churches and Christian Buildings
Benefact Trust’s Building Grants programme provides capital funding for the repair, restoration, and improvement of church and Christian charity buildings, helping them remain open, accessible, and fit for long-term use.

Community Impact Grants
Benefact Trust’s Community Impact Grants programme supports churches, cathedrals and Christian charities, delivering projects that make a meaningful difference to communities.
Amount: £25,000 average

BCBN Grant Initiative
Launched in September 2014, BCBN’s Grant Initiative aims to provide small third-sector grant awards to empower charities and local community projects.
Amount: £3000
Deadline: Term 1 on 7th September, Term 2 on the 9th November
B&Q Foundation Grant
For charity projects that are improving or creating better, safer homes for people across the UK.
Amount: £10,000
Deadline: 13th November 2026
Cymru/Wales: Grade I & II* Listed Repair Grant
Thanks to new funding we have received to support Grade I and II* listed churches, chapel and meeting houses in Wales to make urgent repairs, we have created this additional grant scheme.
Amount: Max £40,000 (50% of total £80,000 max cost)

National Churches Trust - Large Grant
Towards the cost of urgent and essential structural repairs costing more than £80,000, and/or the introduction of kitchens and toilets costing more than £30,000.

A B Charitable Trust - Grants
Supporting work that promotes human dignity and defends the human rights of the most marginalised and excluded people.
Amount: £30,000
Application deadlines for 2026: 31st July & 30th October.
Architectural Heritage Fund - 50th Anniversary Loan
This fund supports the purchase, conservation, and sustainable reuse of historic buildings in Wales.
Loan Amount: up to £250,000

The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation
Supporting a wide range of charities with funding to develop and maintain their inspiring work.
Amount: Grants of over £5,000 towards no more than 50% of the project costs

New fund to prevent gambling-related harms in Wales
Public Health Wales (PHW) launches the Gambling Harms Prevention: Voluntary Sector Grant Fund, administered by WCVA, to strengthen Wales’ capacity to prevent gambling-related harms through evidence-informed and community-led action.
Amount: Up to £75,000

Employers can receive a £3,000 Youth Jobs Grant
You may already be aware of the latest government funding available to employers, but I wanted to ensure that all employers based in, or with branches or jobs within, the Vale of Glamorgan are aware of the Youth Jobs Grant and do not miss this opportunity.
Do you need funding for a youth volunteering project or activity?

Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust
Dedicated to supporting charities that rescue, rehabilitate, release, and rehome animals in need.

Good Place to Live: New Beginnings Fund.
Lloyds Bank Foundation’s first step in ensuring that everyone in England and Wales has a home that’s a good place to live.
Amount: Unrestrictive £200,000 up to 4 years

Centre for Sustainable Energy - Funding
We’re offering funding to grassroots organisations to provide energy saving advice and support to vulnerable households to help them stay safe and warm.
Amount: £14,000

Nature Networks Fund (round six)
Awarding grants from £250,000 to £1million, this fund aims to strengthen the resilience of Wales’ network of protected land, freshwater and marine sites and build organisations’ capacity to accelerate nature’s recovery and engage communities.
Amount: £1million

£5m Upgrading community spaces in Wales
£5 million is being made available to upgrade and transform spaces where people in communities gather across Wales.
