GVS, on behalf of Food Vale, is delighted to announce the launch of the Food, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Grant. Apply for a maximum of £2,500 in revenue funding. The deadline for applications is August 1st, 2025.

Have your say with Building Communities Trust (BCT) and Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS), developing a manifesto for change based on the ambitions and needs of community groups operating in the Vale of Glamorgan.

If you are a member of GVS your organisation is entitled to nominate a candidate for election to our Board of Trustees.  As stated in our governing document, at least two-thirds of the Board members are to be nominated by the GVS membership. The remainder will be recruited via open competition.  

Graham Benfield OBE, a man who profoundly impacted the voluntary sector in Wales, passed away peacefully at home on March 22nd, 2025.

We'd love for you to join us for this year's GVS Annual General Meeting – it's going to be extra special!  The AGM is on Friday 7th November 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at CF61 Centre, Station Road, Llantwit Major CF61 1ST.

GVS' FoodShare Pantry volunteer team has scooped up another award, this time for Best Community Group in the Bro Radio Community Awards.  

Bro Radio has unveiled the 33 finalists in this year's Community Awards with Chris Davies Estate Agents.  Among the finalists is FoodShare Pantry who have been nominated in the category of Best Community Group.

The Fayre will be held at the CF61 Community Centre, Station Road, Llantwit Major CF61 1ST on Friday, June 6th, from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.

Residents of Cowbridge and surrounding villages are invited to a Mini Volunteering Fayre hosted by Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) during Volunteers' Week 2025 (June 2nd - 8th).  

 A Mini Volunteering Fayre will be held at Barry Library, King Square, Barry CF63 4RW on Wednesday, June 4th, from 10 am to 1 pm.
