What Makes Our Community Special? Children and Young People – Have Your Say!

Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) is inviting schools and youth organisations across the Vale of Glamorgan to get involved in a new community conversation: “What Makes Our Community Special?”

The free Community Conversation Pack, aimed at children aged 6–13 years, is designed to help young people explore what makes their community special, the importance of helping others, and the role volunteers play in making communities thrive. The pack includes discussion prompts and creative activities which can be delivered in around 30–45 minutes. The feedback gathered will help inform GVS’s future work and vision for communities across the Vale of Glamorgan. Download the Community Conversation Pack

GVS is also launching a poster competition for children under 11 years. We want to know: “Is there a club, group, activity, place or person that makes a positive difference in your life?” View the poster

Entries must be submitted by 4 December for the chance to win a £10 voucher.

The Conversation Pack and competition poster are attached to this email/website post. For more information or to share feedback, contact enquiries@gvs.wales.
