Funding Service

The Funding Information and Support Service is one of the many free services GVS offers to member groups. Its purpose is to provide funding information, advice and assistance tailored to the specific needs of your group.

Over the years many groups have been supported to successfully obtain funding to enable them to provide vital services and resources that have improved the lives of their beneficiaries. Over £20,000,000 has been raised by groups during this time.

The Funding service is open to all GVS members and potential members, voluntary and community organisations based in, or serving, the Vale of Glamorgan. Our services include:

Funding Wales is the new funding search platform for the third sector in Wales. Developed by Third Sector Support Wales the site enables third sector organisations to search hundreds of grant and loan finance opportunities from local, national and international sources. Pink Ribbon Foundation Grants

The Pink Ribbon Foundation’s mission is to help breast cancer charities help their clients recover from their cancer and then live longer, healthier, happier lives.

The Albert Hunt Trust

The Albert Hunt Trust supports UK registered charities that provide Hospice Care, provide support for the Homeless and promote Health and Well-Being.

Cardiff and Vale Education Fund

Up to £2000 per year for projects that support education and health.

Paul Hamlyn Foundation - Arts Fund

We believe that art and artists can help us see the world differently, bringing unheard stories and narratives to the fore and opening up new imaginative possibilities.

Final Round of Community Ownership Funding Open - Closing Soon!

This is the fourth and final chance to bid for this fund which lets communities apply for funding to take ownership of assets at risk of loss, including community centres, sports clubs, pubs, open space, or any other asset at risk of closure.

The Henry Smith Charity - Holiday grants for children

The purpose of the Holiday Grants programme is to provide access to recreational trips or holidays for groups of children who experience disadvantage or who have disabilities.

CLA Charitable Trust

The CLA Charitable Trust is dedicated to helping those who are disabled or disadvantaged to visit and participate in learning experiences about the countryside.

Lloyds Bank Foundation - Racial Equity Programme

This programme is for small local charities and CICs which are led by and working with people who are experiencing economic inequity because of their race or ethnicity. It combines unrestricted funding of £75,000 over 3 years and tailored support.

The Edward Gostling Foundation - Capital Grants

We seek to encourage UK registered charities to bring forward major capital projects aligned with one or more of our 4 themes that will build new capacity, promote sustainability and bring about step change in the way care is provided.

Footie for All Fund

Tesco are providing £150k in grants to grassroots football clubs across the UK as well as raising awareness of the importance of children having opportunities to thrive through opportunities for more physical and mental wellbeing.
