Supporting Youth Hubs
Youth Hubs are community spaces where young people aged 16 to 24 can access employment support, skills training, and wider services to help them into work.
By establishing or partnering with your local Youth Hub, you can connect directly with motivated young people in your area, shape training to meet your business needs, and play an active role in building the future workforce.

Local Youth Hubs
Youth Hubs bring together employment support from Jobcentre Plus (JCP) with place-based services from local partners, all under one roof. They're hosted in a variety of settings across Great Britain and offer young people CV advice, careers guidance, skills training, mental health support, and help with housing.
From 2026, the government will expand Youth Hubs to more than 360 locations nationwide over three years, giving employers greater opportunities to engage directly with 16–24 year olds and support them through tailored employment services.
Opportunities for Employers
Establish a new Youth Hub
Employers can host a Youth Hub by providing a youth (16-24) space and working with their local Service Leader to help young people into work. Employers provide the premises and Jobcentre Plus provides onsite work coaches and partnership support. Hubs should be open at least three days a week and will deliver the minimum service blueprint (access to mental health support, housing advice, skills provision, and employer engagement).
Partner with your local Youth Hub
Employers can engage with an existing Youth Hub in their area by working with Jobcentre Plus and local partners to host activities, offer insight into your sector, or provide mentoring for young people preparing to enter the workforce.
Offer work experience or training placements
Create opportunities for young people to gain hands-on experience in your business. This helps them build skills and gives you a chance to identify future talent.
Attend local recruitment events
Youth Hubs host jobs and careers fairs where you can meet and interview young candidates directly. These events are a simple way to fill vacancies with motivated local people.
Shape training to meet your needs
Through Sector-based Work Academy Programmes (SWAPs)opens find-employer-schemes.education.gov.uk in a new tab, you can work with us to design pre-employment training tailored to the skills your business requires.
