Amser I Mi Project Offers Vital Short Breaks for Carers Supporting Loved Ones with Cancer
Ray of Light Cancer Support is delighted to share its Amser I Mi (“Time for Me”) project, providing much-needed short breaks and practical support for unpaid carers caring for a loved one with a cancer diagnosis.
Caring for someone with cancer can be both emotionally and physically demanding. Through the Amser I Mi project, Ray of Light Cancer Support is offering a range of personalised short break options designed to give carers valuable time to rest, recharge and focus on their own wellbeing.
Support available includes:
• A relaxing overnight stay in a hotel
• Cinema vouchers
• Flexible short break options tailored to individual needs
Every carer’s situation is different, and the project aims to respond with flexible support that provides meaningful ‘me time’ — particularly during challenging periods.
To make the process as simple as possible, the application system has been streamlined. Carers can contact the team directly via email or complete a short online referral form. Eligibility is assessed promptly to ensure support can be provided quickly.
Anyone who knows of families or individuals who may benefit is encouraged to share the information or refer them directly.

If you are aware of anyone who may need this additional support, please encourage them to get in touch.
