Ethnic Minorities & Youth Support Team Wales (EYST Wales) Survey
The All Wales Black Asian Minority Ethnic Engagement Team are reaching out to you as part of a joint effort between EYST Wales and Vale of Glamorgan Youth Service. Our aim is to gain insight into the experiences, challenges, and barriers encountered by young people and families from Minority Ethnic communities residing or working in the Vale of Glamorgan.

New research by Bangor University and Public Health Wales has found that adults who suffered childhood adversities such as child maltreatment or living in a home with domestic violence, report lower engagement with healthcare services.
First evidence of measles spreading in the community as cases rise in Gwent outbreak
Public health officials believe measles is spreading in the community in Gwent, with nine cases of measles now confirmed. Parents and carers are now being urged to ensure that their children are fully vaccinated with two doses of the MMR vaccine to avoid catching measles.

Dementia Friendly Festivals in the Vale and Cardiff
There will be a Dementia Friendly Vale Festival on 15th May in Barry Library and Dementia Friendly Cardiff Festival at Llanover Hall on 17th May and as part of Dementia Action Week. The events will be an opportunity for people with dementia and their carers to find out more about services available to them, as well as a chance to take part in some fun activities.
