Shaping Our Future Wellbeing, our existing ten-year strategy, was launched back in 2015, following its development with colleagues, stakeholders and the public. In January and February 2023, we are engaging with colleagues across the organisation, as well as some of our key stakeholders, to begin the development of our refreshed strategy. We will be hosting many workshops and events to gather as much feedback as possible.

Jane Hutt, MS for Vale of Glamorgan, will take part in a virtual funding workshop, with People’s Postcode Lottery, for local charities, volunteer organisations, and community groups in the area. The session will give good causes in Ms Hutt’s constituency advice on how they can apply for funds to make a difference in their community. 

We are seeking new tour guides to join our dedicated volunteer team. This is open to anyone over the age of 18 and we are particularly interested in hearing from those aged 18-26 to help us diversify our team and encourage younger visitors to Flat Holm.

The offices are warm and quiet, fully accessible and offers kitchen facilities. Our spaces can accommodate anywhere between one and ten people. Utilities and guest Wi-Fi are both included within the cost with prices starting from £444.00 per calendar month.

The event in Fontygary Leisure Centre on the 14th February 11am – 1pm will be a warm space for everyone to come along, have a free warm drink, connect with one another and find out more about the local support available, particularly for older people.

After a period of time whereby our homebirth service has been suspended due to extreme operational pressures, we are pleased to reinstate this service from Monday, 30th January 2023.

If you are on our centralised waiting list for an NHS dentist, you may have recently received a text message from NHS Wales. We are currently sending a text message to some people who are on the waiting list to validate their information and ensure all those who still need a dentist can be allocated in a timely manner.

If you have not yet received your flu vaccination or COVID-19 Autumn Booster, we are now accepting walk-in appointments for all eligible groups at both of our Mass Vaccination Centre sites. When attending for your flu vaccination, you can have your COVID-19 vaccination at the same time, without the need to revisit on another day.
