Raising awareness of food related benefits in Wales!

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board’s Local Public Health and Dietetics Teams have been working in partnership to highlight the Food Related Benefits that exist to support families on a low income to access healthier food.

Initially delivered face to face and online with a Cardiff and Vale focus, this is now available on the Move More Eat Well Website as a digital resource, to provide more frontline staff working across Wales with the awareness and confidence needed to encourage families to access what they are entitled to.

The resource and more information can be found at Food Related Benefits – Move More Eat Well

For those working in Cardiff and Vale or with an interest in the local work in this area, you’ll also find information on some of the fantastic food projects that offer families much needed support.

Thanks to the Healthy and Active Branch at Welsh Government, Food Sense Wales, Food Cardiff, Food Vale and Cardiff Council’s Money Advice Service for their involvement in putting this together.
