Age Connects Cardiff and the Vale are pleased to announce that they have launched their Warm Welcome Lunch at the Wellbeing Centre on Holton Road on Wednesday 4th January 2023.

This has been made possible from grants given by the National Grid Community Fund and the Vale Council. It will enable Nicci the coordinator and the wonderful team of volunteers to remain open longer and to serve soup, a roll and a hot drink free of charge for up to 30 people a day Monday to Friday between 12 noon and 2pm until the end of March.
AXA and BITC partner to support youth mental health
AXA and Business in the Community are partnering to deliver fully funded Youth Mental Health First Aid Champion training this Spring 2023. We know that the number of young people struggling with their mental health and wellbeing is higher now than ever before, with the COVID-19 Pandemic and the Cost-of-Living crisis having only exacerbated many of the triggers including poverty and inequality.

Public Health Wales are warning parents of the dangers of toys with mini magnets this Christmas. It follows the case of a schoolboy from South Wales who had emergency surgery after swallowing 52 magnets from a fidget toy.
