GVS facilitates the involvement of the Voluntary Sector on this Committee.  Four vacancies have arisen for Voluntary Sector Representatives. Nominations are invited from Voluntary Sector Organisations working in the Vale of Glamorgan.  

Completed nomination forms should be returned to GVS by midday, Friday, 17th March 2023. 

In November 2021 Welsh Government unveiled a Young Person’s Guarantee – a commitment that everyone under the age of 25 would have the offer of support to gain a place in education or training, find a job or become self-employed.

The offices are warm and quiet, fully accessible and offers kitchen facilities. Our spaces can accommodate anywhere between one and ten people. Utilities and guest Wi-Fi are both included within the cost with prices starting from £444.00 per calendar month.

Good news is that the station at Nell's Point is finally open to the public following closure during the pandemic. This is at the watchkeeper's discretion or we can arrange an organised visit! We are also looking for volunteers.

Cranfield Trust On Call is available to provide one-off and immediate management support for charity leaders as they face the challenges at this time. It is a free service for social welfare charities and can be accessed through the Trust’s website.

The Council is consulting on its draft Annual Delivery Plan for 2023-24. The draft Annual Delivery Plan sets out the actions we will undertake in 2023-24 as part of the delivery of the Council’s Corporate Plan for 2020 – 25. The Corporate Plan sets our priorities for a five year period whilst the draft Annual Delivery Plan details what we will take forward in 2023-24. The closing date for comments is the 8th January 2023.

Being a blood donor

With the impending threats to energy this winter, Cardiff and District RAYNET have been putting together it’s winter energy package to allow the group to respond to potential outages in communities within Cardiff and the Vale.

Bro Radio, the Vale's local radio station,  has launched an annual day to celebrate everything great about living, working and visiting the Vale of Glamorgan. The first Love the Vale day will take place on Wednesday 16th November and builds on the success of a similar event in 2019, which saw almost 100 local people take over the radio station.
