October 12th is World Arthritis Day and so leading up to this day we will be running a series of FREE online sessions to provide help and support to those living with an arthritis related condition.

Volunteer Workplace Champion’s raise awareness of unpaid carers in the workforce.  They provide a vital link between working carers and Carers Wales, signposting those looking for support to the services and expert information on offer. 

Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) is hosting The Big Volunteering Fayre on Wednesday 24th January 2024 at the Memo Arts Centre in Barry from 10am to 2.00pm.  The annual Fayre is the biggest volunteering event in the Vale of Glamorgan. It’s the ideal opportunity for charities, community groups, projects and clubs to showcase their work and recruit volunteers. At the Fayre you will be able to talk first-hand to members of the public of all ages, who express an interest in volunteering.  

A new round of the Landfill Disposal Tax Communities scheme is now open for grants between £5,000 – £49,999.

The main focus of the project is to get those most vulnerable out and about in the community using public transport which will improve self esteem and quality of life.

Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) is hosting an “in person” Annual General Meeting at its beautifully restored community building St Pauls in Penarth.

GVS member organisations have priority booking to attend the event on Wednesday, 25th October at 10.00am finishing by 12noon which is followed by a light buffet lunch.

This year’s Cardiff and Vale University Health Board Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on Thursday 21st September 2023. Thank you to everyone who attended.

This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is particularly significant for LATCH Welsh Children’s Cancer Charity as it celebrates its 40th year of supporting children diagnosed with cancer and launches its new campaign £40k for 40 years.
