Horatio’s Garden Chelsea has been awarded the coveted Best in Show title at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

A much-valued Medical Secretary who joined Cardiff and Vale University Health Board 40 years ago has been awarded a prestigious Long Service Award.

Public sector organisations should be adopting an “equitable, sustainable and transparent” use of resources to achieve better outcomes for the people they serve. That’s the message from Cardiff and Vale University Health Board’s Executive Director of Public Health, Fiona Kinghorn, who has focused her latest annual report on the benefits of a ‘Value-based’ approach.

Every local authority in Wales now has an Older People’s Champion to help deliver the Welsh Government’s ambition to create an Age Friendly Wales, the Deputy Minister for Social Services Julie Morgan has announced.

With a total funding of £180,000 available in the 2023/24 period, the VYWOSS will be split into two rounds of funding. The first round will open in May 2023, and the second round will open in October 2023. Successful applications can receive up to a maximum of £7,500 in funding.
