Launch of Supporting Older People in the Vale Third Sector Preventative Interventions Fund 2023

The Cardiff and Vale Integrated Health and Social Care Partnership has allocated funding to support third sector community activities and services for older people in the Vale of Glamorgan.

The Fund is open for applications from Tuesday 16th May 2023, with a deadline for submission of 12 noon on Thursday 8th June 2023.

Parkinson's disease: New research could reveal early causes

Listening to the "conversations" of brain cells as they develop could help researchers to better understand the early causes of Parkinson's disease. Parkinson's is the second most common neurodegenerative condition after Alzheimer's disease. The disease causes parts of the brain to become progressively damaged over many years. But relatively little is known about its early stages, as much of the damage happens before symptoms appear.
