Raising Awareness of Undiagnosed Children's Day 2023
For those of you who haven’t heard of it before, Undiagnosed Children’s Day is our annual awareness day held on the last Friday of April. It’s our chance to make as much noise as we can, increase awareness of undiagnosed genetic conditions and raise funds to ensure SWAN UK can carry on providing support to families who are affected by them. This year, Undiagnosed Children’s Day will be on Friday 28 April.

Coetiroedd Bach: Tiny Forests in Wales
Coetiroedd Bach / Tiny Forests in Wales is a new grant scheme as part of the National Forest programme. We are offering smaller grants of between £10k and £40K for sites (up to £250k for multiple sites) that adhere to Tiny Forest principles.
Agile Cymru Funding
Agile Cymru funding can support a wide range of activity; the focus is on the outcome and benefit for Wales.
Road Safety Trust - Small Grants Programme

Racial Equity Fund
This programme is for small local charities and community interest companies (CICs) with an income between £25,000 - £500,000 working with people who have faced inequity because of their race or ethnicity. Organisations can apply for a three year unrestricted grant of £75,000.
National Influencing Programme
Charities and CICs seeking to influence and achieve change in national policy and practice around specific issues within accommodation, social security, and refugees and asylum seeker support can apply for grants of £30,000 - £150,000.

Rights Ambassadors
The Rights Ambassadors is a universal/open access county-wide youth project managed by the Vale Youth Service and funded by the Children’s and Young People’s Partnership. The group is part of the Children’s Commissioner for Wales’ Community Ambassadors scheme The Rights Ambassadors project raises awareness of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)and the Children & Young People’s National Participation Standards.

Volunteers making a difference in Llantwit Major
Students from UWC Atlantic College recently joined our volunteers at CF61 in Llantwit Major to help with our new raised vegetable beds. They cleared, prepared and levelled the ground before adding the two raised beds made out of old pallets which they filled before planting.

Proportion of people using the internet frequently to manage their health has almost doubled
The proportion of people in Wales who used the internet and digital technology to manage their health nearly doubled from 25 per cent in 2019/20 to 46 per cent in 2020/21, according to research published today by Public Health Wales.
