Summer 2021 marks the ten-year anniversary of the establishment of the Young Onset Dementia (YOD) Service.

Public Health Wales, Wales’ National Public Health Institute, has appointed Iain Bell as the new National Director for Public Health Knowledge and Research to lead its work to build and mobilise data, knowledge and research to improve health and well-being across Wales.

We are pleased to let you know that the volunteers survey: Learning lessons from the community-led response to COVID-19 in Wales Survey has gone live today, and will be open for 6-8 weeks (until w/c 7th July).

Volunteers in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan are needed to take part in a research study that is looking at how effective it is to give a COVID-19 vaccine at the same time as the seasonal flu vaccine.

HIV Testing Week is the 14-24 May 2021, this is a biannual campaign that encourages partner organisations in community, health care and policy institutions throughout Wales to unite for one week twice a year to increase testing efforts and promote awareness of the benefits of earlier hepatitis and HIV testing.

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is delighted to announce that it has achieved continued ISO 14001 accreditation following an external audit by the British Standard Institute (BSI). This recognises the work it has done as part of its environmental management programme.
