Every year Barry Beavers hosts an Astra 15 Regional Gala in March. This year, we will host the first Astra 15 Regional Gala since 2019 (due to closure from Covid-19 restrictions) so we are really excited to get things up and running again.

Local community groups and charities operating in the Vale of Glamorgan are encouraged to sign-up to Glamorgan Voluntary Services’ (GVS) membership to gain unrivalled and expert support. GVS supports over 700 organisations and membership is free for 90% of organisations.

Cyber resilience is an organisation-wide approach which combines cyber security with organisation resilience, enabling an organisation to better prepare for, respond to and recover from cyber-attacks and breaches.

2021 was another steady year for the Civil Aid Voluntary Rescue Association (CAVRA) Team. The year has been difficult due to the effects of COVID-19.

Barry Beavers Disabled Swimming Club celebrated its 40th Anniversary in style at the Memo Arts Centre, Barry on Saturday 4th December.

Foodshare Llantwit Major is running as normal in the lead up to and over Christmas from its base at CF61.  We are open every Thursday 12:30 pm – 2:30pm, including the 23rd and 30th December.

WCVA share key findings from our independent study on UK charities’ presence in Wales and the impact of COVID-19.

GVS is checking in on how we are doing across the Third Sector in the Vale of Glamorgan. This survey is extremely short, only five questions and we are asking for responses by Friday 17th December 2021.

The Police & Crime Commissioner for South Wales has now launched is annual community consultation and is urging people to share their feedback with him before the survey closes on Wednesday 15th December.
