An update for patients and the public on COVID-19
The prevalence of COVID-19 in our communities is rising and we are beginning to see the impact of this on healthcare settings. In the interest of protecting our colleagues, patients and communities, we have reviewed our current guidance. In addition to reducing the impact on people, making the necessary changes will also support us to maintain service provision as we head into winter.
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board escalation status increased to enhanced monitoring
On 5th October, the Minister for Health and Social Services announced that Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (UHB) has moved to the lowest level of escalation status and support, “enhanced monitoring”, as part of NHS Wales Escalation and Intervention arrangements.
Welsh Fire and Rescue Services urge residents to 'Stay Fire Safe' this winter
All Fire and Rescue Services in Wales and Public Health Wales are urging people to take simple steps to protect themselves from accidental fires and carbon monoxide poisoning as they look to keep warm and cut energy use this winter. The call comes following concerns from the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) that the cost of living rise will mean people may turn to alternative ways of heating and lighting their homes.

IFPL are a small aerospace company based on the Isle of Wight. We have developed a new product which, for certification purposes, needs to be tested on an aircraft. The test requires 35 ‘naïve’ participants to test the product on board an aircraft. The aircraft will not be flying or even moving.
