Our ‘Sing with Us’ choirs are for anyone affected by cancer. They offer support, friendship and fun! Research has shown that singing reduces levels of anxiety and depression and improves quality of life. Why not come along and find out for yourself, you don’t even need to be able to read music.

Bowel cancer screening will be made available to more people in Wales as home testing is expanded to include 55 to 57 year olds.

This week marks national falls awareness week.

The Wellbeing Network Event is a FREE event for professionals to come together and discover the wide range of services in and around the Vale of Glamorgan available for Children and Young People aged 0 - 25 years. At the event, there will be scheduled launches to introduce new services available in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Dementia Connect, Alzheimer's Society Cymru’s dementia support service, is free, easy to access and puts you in touch with the support you need. From local support to over the telephone and online. Our Welsh language line is here for people with all types of dementia, with a diagnosis or pre-diagnosis.

The RNID Live Well With Hearing Loss team have teamed up with NHS Development Manager Fatema Narbard from GN Hearing UK to run a Webinar surrounding ReSound Assistive Equipment and the BeMore App.

The Carers’ Team are contacting all unpaid carers who have requested training or asked for development to help you in your caring responsibilities. This review of training and development for unpaid carers living in the Vale of Glamorgan will enable us to ascertain if there is a demand, both for existing and new courses or for other support/development.

Funding from Public Health Wales has meant that an app designed to help PrEP users take their medication more effectively, is now available on Android and in multiple languages, including Welsh.
