Data analysts at Public Health Wales have provided the first detailed insight into how young people in Wales were feeling and behaving in the years before and during the pandemic. They have taken the results of a large school based survey and reported the data on a local basis, helping us to understand regional differences in health and wellbeing of young people in Wales for the first time.
Sing when you’re slimming - new scheme to help football fans get fit
A new scheme to help fans get fit through their love of football has been officially launched in Wales. FIT FANS is a collaboration between the Football Association of Wales and the English Football League Trust (EFL Trust), supported by funding from the Welsh Government’s ‘Healthy Weight: Healthy Wales’ programme.

Ray of Light Cancer Care
Ray of Light Cancer Care currently run a group in Barry and also offer a telephone befriending service to anyone affected by cancer. As well as this we run a group in Velindre Cancer Centre on a Tuesday 10:30 – 12:30 and a group in Bridgend Y Bwthyn the last Wednesday of the month 11:30-1:30pm. We run family days, trips and run online groups and a choir group.

Official statistics show an increase in non-melanoma skin cancer cases in Wales
The first release of official statistics on non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) - the most common form of cancer in Wales - has shown a seven per cent increase in cases over a four year period.
