Joint letter to UK government. The UK government has been urged to increase the amount of funding available for NHS pay. Well-being Plan Consultation
The Vale Public Services Board (PSB) is consulting on its second Well-being Plan which will be published in May 2023. The new Well-being Plan sets out three new Well-being Objectives and the priority areas that the PSB will be focusing on over the coming years. We want to know what you think of our new Plan which has been informed by the Well-being Assessment, A View of the Vale of Glamorgan – An Assessment of Current and Future Well-being published earlier this year and by engagement over the summer.
An update regarding pressures on maternity services
Our Health Board continues to face extreme pressures across services which includes maternity. In July, the Health Board unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to suspend home birthing services until October 2022 to alleviate workforce pressures in hospital midwifery settings. Home birthing services remain temporarily suspended, but the team are committed to doing their best to re-establish a home birthing service as soon as possible.
