Supporting over 50s in Wales to plan for their future

Responsible business network Business in the Community Cymru in partnership with Age Cymru are delivering the Age at Work Wales programme to support over 50s to remain in or return to work to continue to earn, develop skills and stay connected.

We may plan to buy a house, purchase a car and take a holiday, so why don’t we plan for the next phase of our life?
The Wales Mid-Career Review webinars offer the opportunity for over 50s to consider their current circumstances regarding work, wellbeing, finances and work-life balance as well as accessing information, reviewing options and thinking about what informed choices they can make for their future.

The webinars take place every month throughout the year and last about an hour. If you are over 50, living in Wales whether employed or seeking employment, you are eligible to attend. To register for one or more of the webinars: visit Wales Mid-Career Review webinars.

Data from participant surveys shows that participant resilience has increased with 65% being more confident to make decisions about their future.
“I thought the Mid-Career Review webinar was very informative and gave me all the information I needed. The session was extremely useful, and now I feel a lot more confident in organising my financial affairs.” – male, age 55
“Following my attendance at the Mid-Career Review webinar on Career & Wellbeing, I now feel motivated to review my current skills, align my values to a role/career and pursue my goals. The links between physical & mental wellbeing has also motivated me to set some goals for learning and moving more during the working day,” female aged 53.

The Webinars are part of the Age at Work programme, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
