CF61 Community Gardening Project Coffee Morning Blooms with Success!
The recent coffee morning held in support of the CF61 Gardening Project proved to be a resounding success, raising a fantastic total of £1,088.18.
The event, organised by the dedicated volunteers of the CF61 Gardening Project, saw enthusiastic support from the local community. Attendees enjoyed a delightful morning of coffee, conversation, and delicious treats, all while contributing to a worthy cause. The project also gratefully acknowledges the generous donations of cakes, pots, and plants from community members, which significantly contributed to the fundraising efforts.
A particularly significant boost came from Thingumijigs, who very kindly donated an additional £500 to the project. This substantial contribution will be invaluable as the team moves forward with their plans to revitalize the green space in front of the CF61 Community Centre.
The CF61 Community Centre, run by Glamorgan Voluntary Services, serves as a vibrant hub for the local community. The Gardening Project aims to enhance the area surrounding the centre, creating a welcoming and attractive space for all.
The success of the coffee morning would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of the project's dedicated team of volunteers. Their commitment, which included months of nurturing plants, meticulous planning, and delightful baking, was truly outstanding.
The CF61 Gardening Project extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the coffee morning. The funds raised will play a crucial role in bringing their vision for the community garden to life in the coming months.
