Every Child Deserves a Good Night’s Sleep
Mr Motivator’s Bed Bank supports organisations helping children and families experiencing bed poverty. Through our Small Grants Programme, we provide grants of up to £5,000 to help organisations provide beds, mattresses, bedding and other practical support that improves children’s sleep, wellbeing and life chances.
Applications are welcome from:
Registered charities
Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs)
Charitable companies limited by guarantee
Schools and educational establishments delivering charitable activity
Community organisations and unincorporated associations delivering charitable activity (with an established governing document, management committee and bank account in the organisation’s name)
Mr. Motivator's Bed Bank does not normally accept applications from local authorities or statutory bodies.
However, in exceptional circumstances applications may be considered where:
● there is clear evidence of unmet need;
● existing provision is insufficient;
● funding would directly benefit children experiencing bed poverty.
What they fund
This funding round will provide Small Grants to support organisations committed to tackling bed poverty and improving outcomes for children and families.
They fund activity that directly reduces bed poverty and improves outcomes for children and families including:
Beds and Sleep Essentials
Beds
Mattresses
Bedding packs
Bed bundles
Sleep-related essentials
Delivery and Installation
Delivery costs
Installation costs
Storage costs directly linked to delivery
Supporting infrastructure. Where clearly linked to bed provision:
Staff costs directly related to project delivery (must not be more than 10% of the total project cost)
Volunteer expenses
Referral systems
Partnership working
Practical support costs that improve access to beds

Supporting documents for the Small Grants Programme include:
A copy of your governing document or a link to where it can be accessed
A copy of your safeguarding policy including details of your designated
safeguarding lead or a link to where it can be accessed.
As part of the funder’s due diligence process, they may request additional information where required.
