All Wales Fast Track Coalition Grant now open
New All-Wales Grant Launched to Accelerate Action on HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Tuberculosis
Voluntary sector organisations across Wales are being invited to apply for a new All-Wales Fast Track Coalition Grant, designed to strengthen collaboration, reduce transmission of HIV, viral hepatitis and tuberculosis (TB), and tackle stigma and discrimination.
The grant, funded by the Welsh Government, will support the establishment and delivery of an all-Wales Fast Track coalition that brings together local Fast Track collaborations, health boards, clinicians, people with lived experience, voluntary organisations and policymakers. The coalition will provide strategic leadership, coordination and shared learning to accelerate progress towards Wales’s ambition to end new transmissions by 2030.
What the Grant Is For
The All-Wales Fast Track Coalition Grant is intended to fund a voluntary sector organisation (or collaborative partnership led by a voluntary organisation) to host and coordinate a national coalition. The coalition will support local and regional Fast Track partnerships to work together more effectively, share best practice, and inform policy development.
Key areas of focus include:
Policy delivery, development and leadership, supporting Welsh Government commitments and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Fast Track Nation and regional coalition support, including resources, training, events and a bilingual website.
Partnership and collaboration, working with national and international Fast Track initiatives and strengthening key services.
Community engagement, including awareness-raising, testing promotion, stigma reduction, and bilingual campaigns and materials.
Data, research and evaluation, including collaboration with universities and evaluation of initiatives to inform future strategy.
Funding may be used to enhance existing activity or to establish new initiatives. This includes staff costs directly related to delivery and, where appropriate, the distribution of small grants (under £5,000) to grassroots or community organisations, provided appropriate safeguards are in place.
Size and Duration of the Grant
A total of up to £210,000 is available, with a maximum of £105,000 per year across the 2026–27 and 2027–28 financial years. The grant will be awarded for an initial two-year period, with the possibility of up to two further one-year extensions, subject to policy priorities, performance and budget availability.
