The Toy Trust
Funds raised through fundraising events and other charitable initiatives are distributed by the Toy Trust Committee, which meets four times a year to consider applications and allocate grants to children’s causes in need of support.
The objectives of the fund are to:
Alleviate suffering among disadvantaged children and their families by providing practical and financial support.
Support children experiencing difficult or traumatic circumstances, helping them cope with and overcome challenging experiences.
Promote resilience and achievement by enabling children to overcome adversity and reach their potential.
Provide essential equipment and resources that improve the health, well-being, development or quality of life of children in need.
Provide care and support to children and families facing disadvantage, hardship or crisis.
Strengthen existing initiatives by providing funding that enables effective services and projects to continue or expand their impact.
Support the development of new projects that respond to identified needs and provide meaningful benefits for disadvantaged children and their families.
Meet basic needs by supporting access to essential items, services and practical assistance.
Rolling Programme
This fund operates on a rolling basis with periodic opening and closing dates.
Who can apply
Applicants must be small UK based registered children's charities - working for the benefit of children across the UK. As part of your application you will be asked which area of the UK you work.
Support of disadvantaged children aged below 13 years.
Have supporting up to date financial accounts
The applicants accounts must have unrestricted net assets of not more than £200,000 or of less than one year’s income
Organisations from around the world that have a UK office.
Restrictions
The Toy Trust will not pay for salaries, research or running costs
The organisation must have been running for at least one year.
The grant will not cover salaries, wages and research.
Organisations with unrestricted net assets of over £2 million are not eligible.
