1001 Critical Days Foundation are offering grants of up to £100,000

The 1001 Critical Days Foundation are providing funding for charities delivering frontline support to babies in the first 1001 critical days - from pregnancy to the age of two.

Preferred projects should:

• Be free at the point of access.

• Support babies directly. While we are happy to consider applications for work with parents, it must be clear how this will directly benefit the lives of babies and how this will be measured.

• Support a larger number of babies.

• Have a lasting legacy beyond the funding period. This will vary for each project, but could include new resources or improving skills and knowledge across your organisation or local community.

• Have secured additional funding from elsewhere. They prefer not to be a sole funder because charities are more likely to be sustainable when a variety of funders are supporting their work.

• Are delivered over a longer time frame, ideally three to five years. They understand that short term funding can be unhelpful for you and the babies you support, so we try to offer long term funding.

Eligibility criteria

Your organisation must:

• Be a UK registered charity

• Have at least three unrelated trustees

• Have been established for at least two years

• Have at least one set of accounts published on the Charity Commission website

They cannot award grants for:

• Work taking place outside of the UK

• Capital costs

• Individuals

• Events or conferences (unless as part of a wider application)

• Academic research (applicants should check their website and social media accounts for news of an upcoming Research Grant)

Deadline is Midnight on the 27th July 2025
