Volunteer Driver - using organisation vehicle
This organisation provides a friendly, professional community travel service at a low cost to individuals and community groups within the Vale of Glamorgan.
How can you get involved?
If you enjoy driving and want to get involved in your local community, then you may be interested in becoming a Greenlinks volunteer driver. To get involved you must be able to fulfil the following criteria:
be 21 years of age or over
have held a full UK driving licence for at least 2 years
be available for a flexible shift of 4 hours and over
This is a great way to help your community, see other people and improve your wellbeing.
Time commitment: A suggested time commitment of 4 hours or more (ideally a full day) per fortnight. It is mainly weekdays, however there are some weekends and evenings (if demand). Days are flexible and negotiable.
Expenses reimbursed: Travel expenses are reimbursed / various Volunteer incentives.
Training provided: You will receive a driving assessment and complete an induction process which includes an initial buddying system. MIDAS training is provided in due course.
Selection procedures: An informal discussion, application form completion, references and a DBS check (cost met by organisation).
