Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is delighted to announce Dr Sarah Harries, Obstetric and Transplant Anaesthetist has been awarded the College Medal from the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA).

The Hangout makes it easier for young people to access mental health support when they need it, ranging from a one off ‘bad day’ to those who may already be accessing specialist support but require space and someone to talk to between appointments.

Project Zero is the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s response to the Climate and Nature Emergencies. It brings together the wide range of work and opportunities available to tackle climate change, reduce the Council’s carbon emissions to net zero by 2030, care for nature, and encourage others to make positive changes.

The Vale of Glamorgan's Public Services Board (PSB) are working together with local community organisations and members to help make the Vale an even better place for us to grow older in. In October 2023, the Vale of Glamorgan became the fourth local authority area in Wales to be awarded Age Friendly Status from the World Health Organisation.

Age Cymru have launched a brand-new, volunteer-led, telephone listening service called Listen and Connect. The service is for older people who may be experiencing feelings of loneliness and isolation. Volunteers provide a safe space where people are listened to and supported to explore the issues that are important to them.
