Youth Work Wales - engagement sessions

We are holding a series of short online ‘drop in’ sessions which we’re calling The Empower Hour for youth workers and youth support workers over the next few weeks to discuss some aspects of our proposals to strengthen the legislative framework for youth work.

Each of these sessions will be held twice – you don’t need to attend both sessions. These will offer an informal opportunity to discuss these themes in more detail.

A rights-based approach:

  • Monday 11 December, 4-5pm;

  • and Friday 15 December, 1-2pm

Youth work definitions and functions:

  • Tuesday 12 December 10-11am; and

  • Tuesday 19 December 11am-12pm

Leadership and partnerships:

  • Wednesday 13 December 1-2pm; and

  • Monday 18 December 4-5pm

We are beginning our structured engagement with youth workers and youth support workers to help us to make changes as effective as possible by sharing your own experiences and views.  However, further opportunities will be available for young people and others across the youth work sector including other stakeholders. We want to work together to understand how best to support the needs of young people now and in the future.

If you would like to know more about these sessions or are interested in joining, please email us at YouthWork@gov.wales
