Volunteers are the life blood of voluntary organisations and community groups

Rosie Phillips, Bipolar UK’s Deputy CEO says “A huge thank you to all our brilliant Bipolar UK volunteers in Glamorgan who work with us to run free Support Groups in Cardiff, Pontypridd, Merthyr Tydfil, Chepstow and Swansea. Thanks to their support, we are able to empower thousands of people to stay well every year.”

For more than 40 years, peer support has been at the core of Bipolar UK’s work. Our network of online and in-person Peer Support Groups across the UK are facilitated by trained and supported volunteers.

In Glamorgan, these volunteers work with us to run friendly, confidential groups in Cardiff, Pontypridd, Merthyr Tydfil, Chepstow and Swansea. People living with bipolar, as well as their family and friends, can come together to talk about their experiences, support each other and share self-management resources.

It’s only thanks to our incredible volunteers, who are all affected by bipolar themselves, that we are able to empower thousands of people to stay well every year – and we have the ambition to reach thousands more.

Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something.
