Objective of fund:
The objective of Moondance's funding is to prevent or relieve poverty, support the welfare and well-being of women, children, the elderly and the vulnerable in our society, improve health outcomes, raise educational standards and preserve our environment for future generations.
Moondance’s main focus is on organisations in Wales whose work falls into the following categories:
Children
Education
Elderly
Environment
Health
Relieving poverty
Women
Moondance tries to be as flexible as possible and supports organisations that have a transformational impact.
Rolling Programme
This fund operates on a rolling basis with periodic opening and closing dates.
Who can apply
We accept applications for funding from registered charities, constituted community groups, social enterprises, Community Interest Organisations (CIOs), Community Interest Companies (CICs) and other not-for-profit organisations.
Please note, Moondance will not support applications from newly formed organisations or those in the process of setting up, as we require a minimum of 2 years' operations.
Moondance does not provide support for individuals or local and community councils.
Restrictions
We are NOT supporting at this time the following:
Political activity
Religious activity
Research (medical or social)
Schools (primary and secondary) or their PTAs
Sports clubs and sporting activities
Scout groups, including Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers & Network
Girlguiding, including Rainbows, Brownies, Guides & Rangers
Cadet Forces, including Army Cadets, Air Cadets & Sea Cadets
Playgroups, nurseries, preschools and after-school clubs

We try to respond and issue the grant funding as quickly as we can, as we know how important this is for organisations.
If you have not heard within 12 weeks, you should assume that your application has been unsuccessful.
