Join the Parliamentary Ambassador Programme – Make a Difference in Your Community

We’re inviting community-minded volunteers to join the Parliamentary Ambassador Programme, a new initiative led by Kanishka Narayan MP, Member of Parliament for the Vale of Glamorgan.

As a Parliamentary Ambassador, you will:

  • Support grassroots initiatives – promote and strengthen local projects that matter to your community.

  • Serve as a bridge – connect residents with our parliamentary office, gathering insights and helping us understand local priorities.

  • Represent the office locally – attend community events, speak with neighbours, and bring local voices directly to Parliament.

Commitment

  • Part-time: around 5 hours per week (flexible, more if you wish).

  • Mix of community engagement, short reports, and team meetings.

  • Ongoing training and regular briefings provided.

What You’ll Gain

  • Experience working alongside a Member of Parliament.

  • Recognition as part of a respected community leadership programme.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Respectful, conscientious, and community-focused individuals.

  • Strong communicators with good judgement.

  • Able to work independently and reliably.

  • Comfortable engaging with a wide range of people in person.

  • Basic digital literacy (email, forms, WhatsApp groups).

Optional but valued

  • Local knowledge or ties to the Vale of Glamorgan.

  • Interest in public service, policy, or community leadership.

This is a chance to make a tangible difference — shaping local action, strengthening community ties, and helping Parliament hear from the people it serves.
