Invitation to White Ribbon Day 2026: Light a Candle Service and Fundraising Lunch

We are delighted to invite you to join Bawso for White Ribbon Day: Light a Candle, marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

This year’s theme, #ItTakesAllofUs, highlights the importance of collective action in creating a society where women and girls can live free from violence. As organisations working together to support communities and challenge violence against women and girls, we believe that partnership is at the heart of creating lasting change.

The event will begin at 9:30am on Thursday, 26th November 2026, with a march from Cathedral Road to Llandaff Cathedral, followed by our Light a Candle Service. The service will honour survivors, remember those affected by violence against women and girls, and reaffirm our shared commitment to ending gender-based violence.

Following the service, we will host a fundraising lunch, providing an opportunity for our partners, colleagues and supporters to come together, network, reflect and support the vital work being carried out to prevent violence and support survivors.

We would be honoured to have you join us and stand alongside Bawso and our partners on this important day. Your continued support and partnership are invaluable in helping us create safer and more equal communities.
