The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) is a government-sponsored organisation helping people across the UK build financial confidence and make the most of their money and pensions.
MaPS brings together three trusted services— Money Advice Service, the Pensions Advisory Service, and Pension Wise - into one place, making it easier for individuals to access free, clear, and impartial guidance on a wide range of money matters. From everyday budgeting and debt guidance to pensions and retirement planning, MaPS is here to help people make informed financial decisions at every stage of life.

It aims to help people make the most of their money and pensions by offering guidance through various channels, including digital platforms, printed materials, and helplines.

Simple, accessible guidance on managing money, borrowing, saving, and planning for the future
Free pensions guidance, including tailored support for over-50s considering retirement

MaPS also works in partnership with employers, local authorities, community groups, and the financial services sector to improve financial wellbeing across the UK. This includes supporting workplace financial wellbeing initiatives, promoting access to pensions guidance, and helping people build long-term habits that support their financial goals.
As part of its statutory role, MaPS also develops and leads delivery of the UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing, which aims to improve financial capability, reduce debt, and increase savings and retirement readiness across the population by 2030.
