GVS Hero – Retirement Tribute - Ceri Venners

GVS would like to express our immense gratitude to Ceri Venners, who is retiring after an incredible 23 years of dedicated service to our charity, our membership, our partners, and the wider community.

Those who have had the privilege of working alongside Ceri — staff, trustees, and volunteers alike — will testify to her kindness, patience, professionalism, and unwavering commitment.  

Her caring and approachable nature made her a perfect fit for GVS, and she leaves behind a true legacy. 

Ceri’s work ethic has been nothing short of inspirational. Her efficiency, organisation, and expertise have shone brightly, guiding countless colleagues and raising the standards for all. She has successfully administered a huge number of grant schemes to local charities with skill and precision, ensuring vital support reached those who needed it most especially during COVID-19. 

Her knowledge, warmth, and infectious positivity will be sorely missed by her colleagues at GVS and by the wider third sector. 

Ceri’s departure marks an immeasurable loss for GVS, but her years here will always be remembered with the deepest respect and gratitude.
