Do you have lived experience of blood cancer?
This organisation is looking for people who have a lived experience with blood cancer, as a patient or carer, to join the forum support volunteer team.
By sharing personal experiences and supporting others through difficult times, Forum Support volunteers help develop a peer-led community, adding an incredibly valuable element to the support that Blood Cancer UK can offer people affected by blood cancer.
In this role, you will be asked to:
Support the Support Services team to foster an online community that is relevant, engaging, welcoming and inclusive
Welcome new users to the Forum, and where appropriate, signpost Forum users to the Blood Cancer UK Support Services team to moderate the Forum, in order to ensure that any inappropriate posts are flagged
Create and moderate threads on the Forum to ensure users are replied to in a timely manner
What else can you expect from the role?
Regular coffee mornings are held over zoom where the team get together to catch-up and update one another on their work

This is a remote working role.

Time commitment: A suggested time commitment is two to five hours per week. Flexible and negotiable with the organisation
Expenses reimbursed: Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Training provided: Full training is provided.
Selection procedure: Informal discussion, application form completion, 2 references and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation).
