CF61 Gardening Project Wins Prestigious National Award for Community Engagement
The CF61 Gardening Project has proudly received an Outstanding Award for Community Engagement from the Royal Horticultural Society and Britain in Bloom, marking a significant national recognition of its impact and dedication.
This accolade follows the project’s earlier success in the Wales in Bloom competition, where it also achieved an Outstanding Award (Level 5) in the “It’s Your Neighbourhood” category — the highest level attainable.
Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS), which supports the initiative, expressed immense pride in the achievement. “We are absolutely thrilled with this recognition,” said a GVS spokesperson. “It’s a testament to the tireless work, creativity, and commitment of our incredible volunteers who have transformed CF61 into a vibrant, welcoming green space for the entire community.”
The CF61 Gardening Project has become a beacon of local pride, fostering environmental stewardship, social connection, and well-being through its inclusive approach to community gardening.
Congratulations to all our volunteers — this award truly belongs to you.
