Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is celebrating after being named in the NHS Wales Awards shortlist for 2025.
The NHS Wales Awards, organised by the Quality Safety and Improvement directorate, on behalf of NHS Wales Performance and Improvement, celebrate excellence in quality and improvement across health and care in Wales.
With categories aligned to the Duty of Quality and Health and Care Quality Standards 2023, the shortlisted projects showcase the dedicated teams who are driving improvements in quality and safety that is transforming the experiences and outcomes for the people of Wales.

What’s next?
Judging panels will now meet with finalists to explore their projects in more depth and understand first hand, the benefits they've brought to patients and services.
A new celebration and learning event is planned for later this year to showcase the achievements of all shortlisted teams and share improvement insights from across Wales.
