LEAP – Helping You Save on Energy Bills

We’re thrilled to offer LEAP (Local Energy Advice Partnership), a completely free service for residents of Cardiff and the Vale. With LEAP, you can ensure you’re not overpaying on energy, receive free energy-saving devices, and even get help with referrals for funded energy-efficiency improvements.

Nail Cutting Service Update

There has been a price increase to our services.

Clinic visit: £24

Home visit £34

We now also require 48 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations and the missed appointment fee is now £10

Discounted appointments may be available for clients receiving pension credit.

Pendoylan and George Hill Snook Grant - Do you know someone who could benefit?

The Pendoylan and George Hill Snook Grant, managed by Age Connects, offers financial support of up to £500 to help individuals aged 60 and over in Cardiff and the Vale who are unable to afford essential household items or aids for daily living. This funding can be used for the purchase or repair of key items such as microwaves, fridges, beds, and other items necessary to maintain a comfortable and independent lifestyle. 

Applications must be submitted by a third-party sponsor, typically a social worker, healthcare professional, or a representative from the third sector.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be 60 years or older.

  • The grant is only available to residents of Cardiff and the Vale

  • Funds can be used for the purchase or repair of essential household items or daily living aids (e.g., kitchen appliances, furniture, mobility aids).

Application Process:

  • Applications must be submitted by a third-party sponsor, such as a social worker, healthcare professional, or a representative from a third-sector organization (e.g., charity or non-profit).

  • The maximum grant amount is £500.
