A celebration of your work - Welsh Charities Week

The first Welsh Charities Week 15th-19th November 2021 celebrates the charities, voluntary organisations, community groups and volunteers that enrich all of our lives in Wales. Organised by WCVA, Welsh Charities Week is supported by ITV Cymru Wales. Visit welshcharitiesweek.cymru to find out more.

Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) would like to wholeheartedly commend the hard work undertaken by charitable organisations, with support from committed and passionate employees and volunteers, who make a real difference in the communities they serve. Throughout COVID-19 you have excelled in supporting your service users through determined, caring and innovative mechanisms.

GVS has the pleasure of supporting over 700 charitable organisations operating in the Vale of Glamorgan and we are humbled to do so. Rachel Connor, Chief Executive Officer at GVS said:

“GVS has always been proud to be in a position to support the communities of the Vale of Glamorgan in our role as the county voluntary council and the work that we have seen undertaken by local groups and organisations over the past 18 months has been truly inspirational. Our thanks and congratulations to you all.”

Do you have a favourite charity that’s close to your heart? Give them a shout out on your social media platform of choice. Tell us why you love them and remember to use #WelshCharitiesWeek.
