Volunteers’ Week: A UK-Wide Celebration

Volunteers’ Week is an annual UK-wide campaign held from the first Monday in June to celebrate and recognise the contributions of volunteers.

It is the biggest date in the volunteering calendar.

Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) are hosting mini volunteering fayres during Volunteers’ Week
(Monday 2nd – Friday 6th June) within the various towns:

  •  Penarth:  Tuesday 3rd June at Penarth Library, 10am – 12noon

  • Barry:  Wednesday 4th June at Barry Library, 10am – 1pm

  • Cowbridge:  Thursday 5th June at Cowbridge Lesser Town Hall, 10am – 12noon

  • Llantwit Major:  Friday 6th June at CF61 Community Centre, 12:30pm – 2:30pm

There are a number of organisations attending to promote themselves, their opportunities and recruit volunteers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to find out about volunteering and talk first-hand to the volunteer co-ordinators.

We look forward to seeing you at any of the above fayres.
