Volunteering is Priceless – Attend GVS’ Mini Volunteering Fayres Across the Vale

Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) is delighted to announce a series of free mini volunteering fayres taking place across the Vale of Glamorgan this June. These friendly, drop‑in events offer the public the chance to meet local organisations, discover a wide range of volunteering opportunities, and find the perfect role to match their interests, skills and availability.

The fayres will take place at:

  • Barry Library on Monday 1st June, 10am – 1pm

  • Penarth Library on Tuesday 2nd June, 10am – 12 noon

  • Cowbridge Lesser Town Hall on Thursday 4th June, 10am – 12 noon

Whether you’re looking to give back to your community, meet new people, build confidence, or gain valuable experience, volunteering is a rewarding way to make a real difference. By attending, you’ll be able to chat directly with local volunteering providers who can help you explore roles that suit your interests and lifestyle.

These events also form part of Volunteers’ Week, (Monday 1 June – Sunday 7 June 2026) a national celebration recognising the incredible contribution volunteers make every day. It’s an opportunity to say thank you to the dedicated individuals whose time, energy and compassion strengthen communities across the Vale of Glamorgan.
