Volunteer Immigration Adviser for EUSS citizens in the UK
Our volunteers aged 18+ help some of the most vulnerable EU citizens to secure and access their rights in the UK post-Brexit.
We will train you on the EU Settled Status immigration schemes. You will be accredited by the Immigration Advisory Authority (IAA) to provide advice on the schemes at Level 1 (EUSS) through Settled.
Main Responsibilities
Provide quality immigration advice to our beneficiaries on the EU Settlement Scheme via phone, email, or Facebook
Maintain case records and follow good case management principles ensuring all client interactions are accurately recorded on our case management system, Charitylog
Adhere to GDPR principles and practice when dealing with client date
Attend training organised by Settled and keep an up-to-date working knowledge of the EUSS
Skills Required
Confident with engaging with members of the public, many of whom may be distressed or in distressing situations
A passion to support vulnerable people within the EU community
Detail orientated and able to digest complex information and relay this to clients accessibly
Regular time to commit to the role as advertised
Access to a computer and the internet
Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check
In addition, we will favour applications from those who
Have experience working in the legal or advice sectors AND/OR
Have an understanding of immigration law AND/OR
Have worked with migrants previously OR have lived experience of the EUSS schemes AND Speak a European language fluently

Time commitment: A suggested weekly time commitment is 4 hours, Monday – Sunday available and negotiable with the organisation.
Training provided: Full training is provided.
