Volunteer drivers needed in your community – could you spare a few hours?

Volunteer Minibus Drivers needed to assist people without access to transport. If you could spare the odd morning, afternoon or evening to help people get out of their home for a bit, please contact Lesley at East Vale Community Transport, eastvalect@aol.com or phone her on 02920 705 138.

We are a Penarth-based charity and have two wheelchair-adapted minibuses. Training is provided.

 You need:

  • A clean driving licence with a D1 certificate allowing you to drive a minibus.  If you got your licence after 1997 or are over 70 years of age, you would need to apply for D1.

  • To be between 25 and 69 (for insurance purposes)

  • To be willing to spare your time occasionally at your convenience.
