Vale Telecare and TEC Cymru been honoured with a prestigious National award nomination

The nomination recognizes the impact of their emergency alarm system, which is worn by older and vulnerable individuals, in enhancing safety and well-being.

Together, Vale Telecare and TEC Cymru have been nominated in the Up-and-Coming TEC Innovation category at the International Technology Enabled Care Conference 2024.

The nomination acknowledges their work in developing a data-driven dashboard aimed at revolutionising telecare management in Wales. This innovative digital tool utilizes the Welsh Telecare Dataset to streamline data processing and provide real-time oversight of the Technology Enabled Care landscape.

The Dashboard simplifies previously cumbersome processes, providing instant access to critical metrics with just three clicks. By saving time and resources previously spent on laborious data processing, it sets a new standard for telecare management. This not only enhances efficiency and strategic decision-making but also ensures compliance and cost-effectiveness.

This achievement highlights the Vale of Glamorgan Council's dedication to digital transformation and its commitment to leveraging new technologies for improved service delivery.

Cabinet member for social health and care, Cllr Eddie Williams, expressed his pride in the accolade, emphasizing its significance in enhancing community well-being.

He said: "The nomination of the Vale of Glamorgan Council's Telecare alarm system is a testament to our ongoing dedication to innovation in social care and health.

"We are immensely proud to be recognized for our efforts in leveraging technology to enhance the safety and well-being of our residents.

"This nomination reaffirms our commitment to embracing new technologies and digital transformation to better serve our community and ensure that our members receive the support they need.”
