Translation Volunteer at The Birth Partner Project

If you can speak English and another language, we would love to hear from you. Many of our Mamas do not speak English as their first language or at all, therefore it's important that we can provide our information and resources in their language wherever possible - this is where you come in. We also operate in Wales, and so would also appreciate volunteers who can help us translate into Welsh as well.

We have selected all the available languages for this advert but we know there are many more we would benefit from - so please do not be put off if your language is not in the list.

English, Welsh, Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, Chinese (Simplified), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Kurdish (Sorani), Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Pashto, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Somali, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Ukranian, Urdu.

We have a whole range of things we would appreciate your help to translate from our Service User Agreements, to our social media content, to our flyers and posters and our birth related resources.  If any of this would interest you we would love for you to join our team.

The role would be remote and flexible: Volunteer whenever you want, however regularly you want, and wherever you want. We do not have an office, but we could meet in person in Cafes if helpful. If you are working on Branded items, we can provide you access to the TBPP Canva family account to best allow you to create content that is within our brand guidelines, or you can work in word documents and we can move it into the branded style.

Training provided: Full training is provided.
Expenses reimbursed:  Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Selection procedure: Informal discussion, application form completion, 2 references.
