South Wales Local Resilience Forum Third Sector Capabilities

Third Sector organisations operating within the South Wales Local Resilience Forum (SWLRF) area are being invited to contribute to a new initiative highlighting the capabilities of the sector. The project is developing a document that provides responders with a clear overview of the skills, resources and support that Third Sector organisations can offer. This resource is not a comprehensive directory and does not endorse any particular organisation; its purpose is to encourage early and proactive engagement with the Third Sector across planning, training, exercises and incident response.

Organisations with operations in Bridgend, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Neath Port Talbot, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Swansea, or Vale of Glamorgan are invited to participate. To be included in the final SWLRF Third Sector Capabilities document, organisations are asked to complete the attached Organisational Detail Template and return it to LWynne@redcross.org.uk by Friday, 20 March 2026.

The one-page template includes guidance (highlighted in red) and examples of completed templates for the British Red Cross and Raynet are available on pages 10–11 of the draft document. Support is available for any organisation experiencing difficulties completing the template.
