Free, confidential peer support for anyone affected by a loved one’s alcohol or drug use

Support for those affected by someone else's alcohol and/or drug use

Recovery Cymru’s Family and Friends Programme exists to change that. It is free, confidential and non-judgemental, supporting people whether their loved one is still actively using, in recovery, or no longer in contact.
The programme is peer-led and shaped by lived experience, offering a space where people can speak openly and be understood. Support includes 1:1 recovery coaching, telephone and email support, and guidance through difficult situations, as well as family and friends groups and a drop-in at the Health Hwb in Barry (www.healthhwb.co.uk), giving people the chance to connect with others who understand.

Recovery Cymru is a peer-led recovery community based in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, providing groups, activities and community support throughout the year. The Family and Friends Programme plays a key role in ensuring that those affected are not left to navigate things alone.
